What Are The Running Costs?
The costs vary from park to park, and include pitch fees plus other normal costs such as utility costs and insurance. Park Holidays UK pitch fees include the council rates charges and water rates so there are no hidden extras. Some parks charge these as extras, which can add a lot to your running costs so make sure you do your homework. Pitch fees range roughly from £2500 to £4500 depending on park location and facilities
Are There Lots Of Rules And Regulations?
We try and keep rules and regulations to a minimum - the rules we do have are to ensure we can maintain park standards and ensure the good behaviour of everyone on the park. The terms and conditions will be explained to you before you complete your purchase
Can You Help Me With Finance For My Purchase?
Yes we can. Park Holidays UK are licensed credit brokers, and can arrange finace via a range of specialist lenders including Barclays Bank, Lloyds Black Horse & Fortis Bank. Terms can reflect your personal needs, with deposits and repayment periods individually tailored. We can also look at guaranteed finance if you have had an adverse credit history. Terms and conditions apply - full written details available on request.
I Already Have A Caravan - Can I Site It On Your Parks?
In most circumstances - yes. We accept static caravans from other parks, subject to being in good condition. All you pay is the normal pitch fees plus a charge for siting and connection costs. We can also look at a part exchange should you wish to upgrade to a different model. we also accept touring caravans in part exchange
Can I Sublet My Caravan?
Yes - its entirely up to you! At most parks we only have a fairly small number of hire caravans and caravan owners subletting, compared to some large national park groups. This has benefits to caravan owners - our parks tend to be less busy as often there are far fewer holidaymakers around, so you tend to know your neighbours from week to week! But if you do want to sublet, there is less competition so you can look forward to the possibility of a good level of bookings.
Is There Any Age Limit?
There is no formal static caravan age limit. At most parks there are a range of caravan ages - although often people upgrade after a few years of ownership, For older caravans we do require that their upkeep is a priority to maintain park standards - for full details you will be able to read the pitch license agreement before going ahead with any purchase decision.
What About Pets?
Pets are welcome at most holiday parks, though some parks have individual rules. We do ask that all pets are properly controlled for the enjoyment of all our guests, and that owners clean up any 'mess'.
How Long Will It Take For My Caravan To Be Ready?
It depends on if the static caravan is already in stock and sited on your chosen pitch. We give a guide of two weeks from delivery of the caravan, but if it is already on the pitch less work is involved so this can sometimes be sooner. If a special factory order is required this will normally be longer. In all cases we will do our very best to match your requirements, and will keep you posted during the process
Is There Any Legal Protection?
We take the rights of our customers very seriously - we rely on recommendations from happy customers for many of our new customers. In addition to your statutary legal rights you also have the protection of the caravan industry trade association code of practice - your guarantee of a high level of customer service
How Long Is The Season I Can Stay On The Park?
This varies from park to park - mostly it is from 1st March to mid January. At some parks it is longer, at other parks shorter - please ask the park of your choice.
Can I Live In My Caravan Holiday Home?
You are only allowed to stay there during the licensed part of the year - but you can visit as often as you want for as long as you want during the holiday season. Caravan holiday homes are built to very high standards, but are not designed for full residential use 12 months a year. Many people choose to spend part of the year abroad, and a static caravan or lodge provides an ideal affordable UK base.
What Services Are Available?
All holiday homes and static caravans have full services connected - water, drainage and electricity. Electricity is charged at cost - at a substantial discount to standard domestic tariff. Gas is often provided by piped LPG, otherwise by cylinders. Where gas is via cylinders, the park offers a delivery service to make sure you need never run out of gas with an automatic switch over system. In addition a wifi internet connection is provided free of charge in club venues.
I Have Lots More Questions!!!
Thats fine - we realise that everyone has their own specific questions - our trained advisors at each park will be able to answer any further questions when you visit the park. We look forward to seeing you soon
What do I do next?
We have tried to pack as much information as we can into this website, plus the main Park Holidays UK website. We hope we have answered most of your questions too.
But there can be no substitute for seeing things at first hand. What kind of holiday home is right for your needs? What's the difference between the models? What's the park like in reality? And lots more besides I'm sure.
So the only issue is - when are you going to come and see us?
You can book your visit online whenever you want.
Or you can call in any time you are in the area - its entirely up to you. We do advise you to book to ensure we put time aside for you as we don't want you to make a journey and our staff to be tied up with other people but its not essential.
If you can visit mid week that would also be appreciated as we will be able to devote more time to showing you around as weekends can be very busy.
Alternatively you may like to book a 'try before you buy' inspection visit holiday - we make it very affordable and should you buy your holiday cost will be refunded.
Whatever you decide to do - a warm welcome awaits. You will be given a guided tour of the park with access during your visit to enjoy all the park facilities with a guest pass for all the family. We will show you the range of holiday homes available, trying to help find the right model to suit your needs.
We hope to see you soon!
