Swift Group celebrates Hull City of Culture 2017
With the announcement of Hull beating Leicester, Dundee and Swansea Bay to the mantle of 2017 City of Culture, the caravan manufacturer Swift Group has celebrated the city’s success.
Based in Cottingham, just a 15 minute drive from Hull city centre, Swift Group are proud that the city has gained the recognition they feel it deserves. As the company offers quality static caravans for sale and other products throughout the country, Swift Group are hoping Hull will also gain a similar level of national recognition with this latest announcement.
2013’s City of Culture was Derry~Londonderry in Ireland; their tenure as the UK’s cultural capital included a great collaboration of caravans and art, as reported in this article, and it is hoped that a similar caravan-themed artwork may soon grace the centre of Hull.
As Swift Group played a significant part in the bid process, they are anticipating great things from Hull as the City of Culture 2017, as the city is already known as the home of renowned poet Philip Larkin, the Ferens gallery and as one of the leading cities for the continued development of the caravan industry.
