This year has seen some significant changes made to the way in which residential park homes can now be sold, giving more freedom to those looking to put their static caravans on the market. The change is seen to give more flexibility to the owner and put in force stricter rules that stakeholders must follow.
The amendments to these laws could also bring further changes for holiday home sales, should the first set of changes prove to be a success. This could see the number of static caravans for sale in England increase dramatically as owners receive more freedom in order to sell their park home.
The May changes mean that owners no longer have to gain the consent of the park owner to sell their homes but simply have to give them three weeks’ notice before the completion of the sale, according to this recent article. By enforcing these laws, the buying and selling of static caravans and park homes will be simplified and is expected to keep both buyers and sellers content.
